enjoying the small things

Steam rose lazily up from our iron, the swish and spray of the washing machine was heard, flowers were gently placed on the table, small fingers tapped the key board, pencils bobbed up and down, someone lay curled up on the couch reading a good book, ducks quacked, and warped shadows and golden lighting smothered the walls, and while all this happened I captured some of this beauty.

What is your favorite thing to take pictures of?

My title is in Arabic today! -- and it means trust.

Mouthwatering blackberries slowly munched, its juice revealing mysteries; blackberries being churned and enjoyed.  Colorful, wonderful tastes spray and mingle in my mouth.  How good God's creation is.  How good He is.  But somehow everything He does doesn't always seem good.  However, everything He does IS good.
//
This morning, during family devotions, we discussed how God is good all the time -- everything He does and plans is good -- even when one doesn't feel it to be good.
How?  -- How can a beloved family member dying be God's good plan?  -- How can it be good that thousands of children die each day? -- How?  I don't have the answers.  God does.  All we can do is trust Him.  Our part is not to cry out to God and complain, it's to trust.
//
It almost seems to simple -- just four small letters fast together making the word: Trust.
... Our God is all-powerful, worthy of praise, and holy!  There is no reason why we should not trust Him.
  Amen?!
Let's go through this day... week... month... year... our lives, trusting Him.

eucharisteo.

Running.  Breathing.  Praising.  Sobbing.  Laughing.  Rejoicing.  Thanking.
Jesus gave me this life so I'm going to use this life for Him.  Every breath I take is from Him, so every breath I take should be for Him.  Every step I take is a gift from Him, so I'm going to use every step I take for Him.
I'm going to shout praises to Him.  Give Him thanks.  Rejoice.

Eucharisteo.

EucharisteoGreek.  yoo-khar-is-teh’-o. Verb. Definition: 1.To be grateful, to feel thankful. 2. Give thanks

-- walking home, humming tunes, laughing, smiling, rejoicing, drenched with rain, after picking blackberries.

-- coming home, rising, preparing blackberries.

-- bubbles adorning dishes.  Bubbles with color and life.

-- Swollen clouds.

--The sun braking its way through clouds... the sun shattering light.

--rain pouring.  Drenching the earth.

-- reflections on iPods

-- dried roses

-- and life.

What is one 'eucharistio' -- or one thing you're grateful for -- you can mention in a comment today?

dancing

dancing in the rain with Jesus

Rain approached like footsteps.  And it fell like jewels; splashing, spraying, watering, refreshing the earth.  I ran in the midst of this, my feet slapping the wet pavement, my legs hopping puddles, wisps of hair flying, my heart free.  This source of water, this God-given gift, this that enables us to live life -- this rain.  I thanked God and praised Him.  I let go.  And I let Jesus take charge of my life.

I realize that letting go and letting God transform me is what I always need to do.  I need to always be able to let go during those stormy times in life, and let God take charge over them.

Let's dance in the rain with Jesus.

Let's embark on a life time journey -- letting God be the number one person in our life.  Letting God be the one who can help us dance in the rain -- dance in the storms of our life.

Will you embark on this journey, too?

school, sunny days, scenery, and life.

life.

One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure its worth watching.
--Unknown.

When I look back at my life, when I ponder over what I've done, and when I'm in heaven with Jesus, I want to make sure that my life was a life lived glorifying and obeying Him.
I want my life to have followed His laws -- not the fads of this world or what the world says you should do or look like or say.  I want my life to be an epitome of a holy life.

I want to do everything in life for the glory of God.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God

-- 1 Corinthians 10:31

scenery.

flowers, trees, buds, and blossoms never cease to amaze me.
simple things in life are so gorgeous.

Oh my goodness -- I love lambs.  A little too much, really.

school.

*gasps*
I can't believe I'm almost done 9th grade.
Time really does fly.

while doing math I decided to come up with new ways to dot i's in names.  I dot my eye with a bird now... (sometimes).   What other ingenious ways can you think of to dot your eyes?

 trees.
and

 more trees and
 more trees.

raindrops :: little

crystal clear raindrops glided and raced down a window pane, while I, contently studying, watched them in awe.  So little, unique, and pretty.  'little diamonds sent from heaven'.

science.

I've realized over the past year how much I like science.  Do you like it? - so and so? - is it your passion? do tell!
