During this past week, I've been living life fully and intentionally. Rather than blogging, photographing, and writing about life, I lived more of it -- and just that little bit more passionately. My short hiatus and escape of the screen resulted in a replenished, refreshed and renewed soul. For the record, you (and I) should do this on a more regular basis.

reading | through my IGCSE English books for this school year
listening | 'falling stars'; my blog music
drinking | lemon + ginger tea
eating | la prune ('plum' in French)
anticipating | visiting Wales, which = friends + good times
lovingheart aches (mostly good ones) when thinking about the dimming of summer and unfurling of fall; hot tea, good reads, learning how to say words in French and getting the pronunciation right, playing piano, and black + white photography.  // post as inspired by abbey //
and just to top it all -- here's a little video for you. it's not great; the filming is choppy and you tube blurred some of the scenes. but it's okay because it's like life: imperfect.

before playing the video, scroll down to the
bottom of the page and pause the blog music. :)

song by brooke fraser // 'something in the water'

  1. this is seriously oh-so-good. lovelovelove! your photos are spectacular.

  2. ohmygoodness that first photos is amazing. the clarity is perfect and the typography makes it even more awesome.
and i must say that i admire you for stepping out and really living life during the past days. tuning out the technology and not blogging and such can be hard (for me) but it's such a good thing to do every once in a while. great post! xo

  3.! :D Loved it!

  4. i like that first photo - i think i might repin it, if that's alright :) what is the song you used in your video? and oh yes, the piano is wonderful, isn't it? and fall can't get here soon enough, now that school has already started!

    1. Whoops! - I meant to put the song title and who it was by at the end of the video. :/ I'll just go edit that into my post instead.

Anyway, I used 'Something in the Water' by Brooke Fraser... lovely song, isn't it?

      Much love,

PS Ohhhh. Yes. Wonderful is the definition of a piano. :)

  5. Ok. So I love your video. I was smiling mostly throughout the whole thing. I love the happiness it portrays, with the music and the spinning with the skirt in the beginning. I must say, Little Women is one of my favorite books. It's also one of my favorite movies. Have you seen the one with Winona Ryder( I probably didn't spell her name right) as Jo? The best one ever. :)

P.S. my can you type fast!! :)

    1. Yes! I did see the movie featuring Winona Ryder as Jo! (I just checked and yes! you spelt her name right! :) And it certainly is one of my favourtie movies ever... which reminds me, I haven't seen it in a while! Now I'll see if I can watch it. :)

And lastly, thank you for such a sweet comment! Commens like yours make my day -- I'm serious.
