eat sleep create, v. 8

watercolouring flats

A new twist to eatsleepcreate;

eat - apple slices dipped in honey
sleep - with a pouch of lavender on your pillow
create - doodles inspired by your favourite books

The library has been a wonderful source of inspiration for me lately.  I've pulled out a few books from the library shelves, checked them out, then whisked them home and 'did art', immersing myself with inspiration from the books.  One of my favourite recent finds is a book (above) by Julia Kuo, 20 Ways to Draw a Cat + 44 other animals.  Do you enjoy doodling?

  1. The fourth picture, showing all your work is great! I never have had a talent for doodling (even though I wish I had) my brother has always been the artist in the family

      Thanks, Morgan! I must note, however, that the drawings in the fourth picture are not mine -- they belong to Julia Kuo, the artist of the book. :) xx Acacia

  4. Beauuuutiiifulll! Ah! You're inspiring me to create! It seems as if you inspire me to do everything. ;)
    What a fun book. I'll definitely have to check it out. While you're at the library, you should see if you can check out The Unforgettable Photograph by George Lange. It's full of lifestyle photography tips from a seasoned pro and it reminded me of you. :)
    hugs,

      Thank you so much, Rachel! But just so you know, I didn't draw the inked animals. :) I drew the watercolour flats and sketched elephant; the animals in the book are Julia Kuo's work.

      Much love,
      Acacia xx
