a study of colour, blue.

study in white

Sigh.   It's been awhile since I've posted and I suppose I should admit I've been in a writing/blogging slump.  I recently started university and I've been busy with running my photography business + doing photo sessions.  Nonetheless, here I am - squeezing in precious time for blogging.

Although I love 'now' moments, looking at the past (blended with photos of the present) is special.  That's what I'm doing here with blue and aqua and lavender-blue and past and present all whirled together.

have a beautiful day.  xx

Thank you, Kate! So happy you like the photos. I, too, have been craving the beach... so it's sad that summer is about to leave us in Australia. xx

Ohh yes. I love the bluebell woods -- looking back at that photo definitely brought back really special memories. I've been thinking about you a lot, Rachel, and I really miss you. :) A Skype date is needed! xx

    1. Do borrow the idea (and credit me)! :) It's a great way to get inspired and take photos -- it helped me look at colours and taking photographs in a different light -- taking photos because of the colours in them rather than for the sake of photographing, you know? Anyway, have a lovely day, Emily! xx

  7. I rather love this study of yours. ;) Congrats on starting university! I can definitely relate to life getting sucked away in the vortex of school -- but don't forget about us. Your posts are very dear.

  10. Dear Acacia,

You already know I love your studies into colour. It's too inspiring. I love the dashes of blue in the pictures that you captured. I love how it doesn't have to be a huge block of ultra-marine, but the understated, the soft slips of blue that are in these pictures. You have such a beautiful perspective on the world, and the way your lens captures it, is amazing. I love the fifth and sixth picture. Amazing, dear.

I hope you're doing well. It sounds like you are in an exciting place in your life. ;) University?? Sounds huge and exhilarating. But as Kimberly said, please don't forget about us. ;)

You know I love your posts to pieces.
    Love,
    Rebekah

    1. Sometimes it's hard to find the words to thank someone. Taken now for instance. Your words (always bursting with colour and love and beauty) are really special to me. <3 Thank you, Rebekah for your kind thoughts. I certainly won't be forgetting about any of you as I shuffle through university study and life. xx
