SPRING & A NEW DESIGN

"We walked through a high hallway into a bright rosy-coloured space, fragilely bound into the house by French windows at either end.  The windows were ajar and gleaming white against the fresh grass outside that seemed to grow a little way into the house.  A breeze blew through the room, blew curtains in at one end and out the other like pale flags, twisting them up toward the frosted wedding-cake of the ceiling, and then rippled over the wine-coloured rug making a shadow on it as the wind does on the sea"  - The Great Gatsby

I am in eager anticipation for the day I throw open my window, warm air tumbling in and pushing at the curtains - spring gracefully falling into my bedroom with pools of sunlight gathering and caressing the ground, a bird singing, and the scent of fresh laundry drying.  I despise wintertime, and although 'the grass always seems greener from the other side', inevitably, spring always is always greener and more resplendent than winter.  Today I welcome spring into this little space that you and I share, my blog: Let's hold her tight and push her into photographs and pretend she is here even though bitter winds bite outside.

xx Acacia

PS I recently designed my blog! This design would not be possible without the template I bought from MangoBlogs.  It is not completely finished but I would love to hear what you think of it. :)

    1. Thank you so much! I'm a professional photographer and recently (after saving up for a while!) I've invested in some really good photo equipment -- I use a Canon 5d Mark iii with the Sigma 35mm 1.4 lens and Canon 50mm 1.4 lens. The fifth photo down was taken with my old Canon T3 with the 50mm 1.8 lens. Previously, I used the T3 and 50mm 1.8 lens and then upgraded to a 7d and Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens (highly recommend!) and now I'm using the Mark iii :) If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for stopping by! xx

Hi Acacia! It's Stella. I hope you still remember me from a few years ago from TYT!! Although I'm out of the blogging-sphere, I frisk through some old blogs from time to time and I just want to say that the work you've produced is amazing. I'm so happy that your passion has evolved into your profession. Watching your blog grow over the years has been nothing short of fantastic. Hope all is well :)

    1. Stella!! Your name is so, incredibly familiar and I am so close to recalling your name -- like seeing a familiar face but not quite remembering a name! I'm desperate to remember, so please give me a few more details so I can recall?? :) I've moved to four different countries in the past 10 years and have met and came across so many different people that I must admit, I'm not wonderful with remembering names. Your comment was an absolute delight to read. So often I click 'publish' without thinking that someone would actually come to know of well and appreciate my blog... thank you so, incredibly much for taking time to comment! I (literally!) cannot wipe a smile off my face. Hope all is well with you, too! Much love, Acacia xx
