Know that there will be seasons where everything appears to be going wrong, where everything seems dry and dull and dusty like a dessert. But also know that there will be times of inspiration, of heart-pounding thrill and ecstasy and emotions you've only ever longed to experience - an ocean, gurgling and rushing, flowing and pushing itself into every surface of your soul.
Create for creation's sake, not for other's sake. I've found myself slowly pulling away from my 'mundane', home, baking, artistic floral, style, nature shots and I find myself only taking out my camera when I have a wedding, family, or engagement session to photograph. Without a trace of doubt - I love and adore family, weddings, engagements. Photographing people, and the love and stories and emotions they hold - is the one thing I ever want to do. And yet, how did my love for this start? Draw yourself back to the basics. Bring yourself home. You know where you started: always take yourself to your roots, your artistic heritage.
Anyhow! A few shots from last month... I'm tempted to elaborate on how wonderful and fast this wedding season is going by, how many beautiful weddings I've had the privilege to photograph. I'll let a few upcoming posts give you a snippet into that. It's here, on this blog, where my love for photography blossomed. Here, I'll share my thoughts and aspirations openly.
I'm also planning a few more personal posts and on opening up my heart a little more here.
But most of all, I would love to know what you think! Please comment below and let me know what your favourite posts that I do are! Personal, baking, photography, tips and hints, life/lately posts? What do you love?
All my love! Acacia xx
