so we slipped outside and sang (nostalgic) carols (and i crafted).

a little set of photos // the first of which explain my long hours spent upstairs, crafting.

yesterday was Christmas and we tore open presents and laughed till our stomachs hurt and munched on chocolate and sweets and went on a walk in the crisp, cool air and almost literally drank in the (much-needed) sunshine; we watched the sound of music and sang jolly, nostalgic songs.  i took too many photos and (maybe or maybe not) ate a little too much.  and the thought of Jesus constantly slipped into my thoughts -- his birth into the world simply so that He could die - so that we could be saved.

what did you do for Christmas?

  1. So, so magical. For Christmas I cooked and watched movies and went on an evening run. It was lovely. :)

  3. This is absolutely beautiful, Acacia. I love your craftings. For Christmas, we had the family over, cooked, ate, spent time together, and watched Elf later that night. It really was a great day. xx

Ohh STUNNING crafts, dear!! <3 For Christmas I got to Skype my family in Brazil, which was awesome. The hard part of living far away from family is not being able to be together for holidays like Christmas, but thank God for technology! It helps a lot. :)

  5. Oooh! I just love your posts. My Christmas was similar to yours. What with the food, singing, laughing, and walking in the cold night air. Oh yes. The beautiful reality of Jesus coming to die for our sins is SO incredible.

    Blessings!

  6. Your pictures are the epitome of perfect and marvelous! What kind of camera do you use?
My Christmas was simple. But nice. We ate chocolate pretty much all day long. I received a journal. (I was in dire need of one)
And we had a nice dinner and read the Hobbit together before going to bed.

    Lovely post and crafting, dear!

  14. I really like your shots of the pine cones. And your crafts are adorable! That Christmas tree... Have you ever made those ornaments where you take a styrofoam ball and pin sequins and beads all over it? It takes forever but the result is so neat :)
