Actually, we are supporting 'local farmers'. Our friends are away and we've been asked to collect their chicken's eggs each day. The best part? We get the fresh eggs!

The bread comes out of the oven and fills the room with a happy golden scent; I rip a bit off and spread a thick slice of butter across it. Homemade is so much better than bought.

My new spring design is up thanks to Marieanne for doing the header. Naturally, I wanted to put up the more spring-filled one. But both are gorgeous... which one do you like better?

The sun is pouring in through the window panes casting warm, dark shadows on the floor. My bedroom wall is wall is dappled with sunlight - it seems to beckon spring. 56 degrees Fahrenheit, crocuses peeping up and summer clothes appearing is a sure sign that spring is around the corner.

This is such an exciting time of year; the weather makes you happy about nearly everything, no?

p.s. I have an important/big/nerve-racking piano exam on the 13th of March... I would appreciate your prayers!
Acacia, you are just amazing at photography, writing, paint. Seriously. You are so gifted. I just adore your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, you have me caught between both of the headers. I love the first one because it reminds me of adventure and the beauty of life. and then the second one reminds me of Spring. So it fits perfectly as well. :))

ReplyDeletejust so you know, i adore your photography. especially the first/second photos.
and i shall be praying for you! :))

I have NO idea how she did it. I'm guessing she has Photoshop and uses special brushes to make the paint strokes, (on the first header) and the flower pics she must have gotten online. Sorry I can't be much of a help. Thanks SO much for your prayers -- they really are much needed!
Deletemiss acacia!!! you are ever so talented. really, you are. your photographs leave me swooning and your artistic abilities make me jealous. ;)
ReplyDeletesomeday post the recipe for bread, pretty please?

happy weather? oh yes. and the first header is my favorite, but as you said, both are gorgeous.(:
ReplyDeletelovely. I love all the photos, particularly the last. And that "support local farmers" piece of art is just too cute. My mom makes homemade bread most weeks and it might be my favorite thing ever. When the smell reaches my nose, I always rush downstairs to eat it hot and fresh... with butter. It's probably the best snack ever invented. G r e a t post! :)

Well, I was very happy to find your comment on my blog today. You are simply lovely. Of course the sound track from P&P is one of my favorites...and lo and behold that is what you have playing over here. I think your photography is wonderful! I started out with a point and shoot too. I think it helps to think outside the box when that's all you have. It's harder to take a good photo. I love the one of the watercolors!
ReplyDeleteYes! Spring makes everything happier! The 70 degree days, the flowers and buds comming out, the birds singing! Pure bliss! Fresh bread is so good! I made some bread on Monday and when it came out in the afternoon I had to cut a piece and have it buttered with some tea. The perfect afternoon snack. I like both blog headers. Pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and commenting! I'm always glad when someone new stops by my blog and comments. It makes my blogging day! :)
Right back atcha! LOVE your photos! The b&w of the rain boots in the fields...I'm such a fan of all the texture going on.
