café watercolour

painting an image inspired by inslee

I haven't taken out my paints in a while; but the other, day I decided to just do it. And I'm so glad I did. This painting wasn't completely finished when these photographs were taken; but you don't mind, right?  (Also, excuse the choppy video -- you tube messed it up a bit.)

 || recent thoughts -- watercolured in my mind: in words. ||

a vivid, crackling bonfire
singing out of tune
cold showers in hot weather
watching an inspiring summer video
being challenged by God's word
writing 'hello' in different languages
the neighbor cutting his grass
the feeling of swimming underwater.
75 degree weather after cold,
rainy 50 degree days.
going to camp + the in-explainable
happiness you feel while there.
realizing He's always there for you
paint splashes mixing together
hearts, the literal and metaphorical sense.
learning a new word
learning, in general.
capturing a nanosecond through the lens
of a camera
thinking of what 'capture' and 'life' means
defining my blog.
bittersweet goodbye's

xo

  19. Dearest Acacia,

You are so talented! You can paint AND make a video at the same time! So cool. ;)

But anyway, firstly I wanted to apologize, I haven't commented on anything in SO long. I've been lazy (it's been summer) and I've also been crazy busy, but that is no excuse, because it's a crime not to tell you how inspiring your writing/painting/photography is. Truly.

And it is. So, dearly, wonderfully inspiring. I love the colors you capture with your paint. It's rather perfect, although i can only admire when it comes to painting, since I have no skill there. But I admire it whole-heartedly. I think it's too late, and my vocabulary is sorrowfully lacking, so if I start repeating words, just ignore me. ;)

And you words, I could spend an inordinate time talking about your words. I don't how to describe it, but somehow you find the perfect cadence in your words. Without having to stuff in so many, you make someone feel so much. It's a talent.

And lastly, umm... I am... I don't know, this probably sounds stupid, but I wanted to thank you for following me, because, although that wasn't my intent at all when I commented on your blog, it's so nice for you to follow me. ;)

    Love,
    Rebekah
P.S. I may have swooned when the Anne of Green Gables Theme song started playing. You pick the most wonderful music ever. That song always makes me tear up. Obviously I'm very attached to Anne of Green Gables. ;) Ok, I swear, I'm going now.
